We are at the conservation stage, Jailhouse Lawyers Speak is primarily focused on institutional building, consolidating our gains, and establishing a strong foundation for the next phase of our struggle. Our non-traditional housing center for women activists and jailhouse lawyers, known as JLS Housing Center ( Jlshousingcenter.com ), serves as our permanent headquarters, enabling effective communication and support for our members and prisoners nationwide. This marks a crucial step in our organizing nationally.
Our next objective is to establish a men’s non-traditional housing center for JL and activists, followed by the launch of the national JLS Legal Center. This legal hub will be a groundbreaking addition to the prisoners’ movement, serving as both a legal arm and think tank. Through your support, we will continue to develop and build structures and programs that reflect the history and struggles of the prison class. We are engaged in a protracted struggle, and JLS efforts and development on the ground aim to ensure a strong, sustainable foundation toward our ultimate objectives.
